This is a very nice quality mink fur stole dating to the 1960s. I believe that the colour is referred to as Pastel, a medium brown colour with darker brown accenting. The stole is shaped with a “collar” and made to fit onto the shoulders - there is no closure but there is a pocket in the lining at either end into which one would insert one’s hands to hold it closed. It is lined in grey fabric woven with flowers. The lining is monogrammed with the initials “FDB” sewn on as “patches”, so these can be easily removed.
Label: Fourrures Emond Enrg. Quebec. Fourrures Emond was founded in 1930 and has been passed down through the family over a number of generations. In 1968, they moved from downtown Quebec City to Ste Foy and in 1982, the name was changed to Fourrures Robert Emond Inc.
Sizing: This should fit a range of sizes from medium to large, but please rely on the following measurements for fit:
55” along the top edge and 58” along the bottom edge / 14 1/2” wide at the centre back / approximately 18” across the shoulders / 27” in length at the front
Condition: This mink stole is in very good condition - the fur appears to be fresh with good sheen. This piece appears to have been well cared for over the years.
This is a lovely mink stole - nice colour and quality
