From the 60s, here's a quality handbag in a taupe leather with a silk devore velvet panel on the front. It is made by Fassbender - England, who are known for their quality handbags. It was made for a high end department store in Montreal called Morgan's. It snaps shut and you then lift and slightly pull and twist to open using the gold toned pull. It is lined in a ribbed faille fabric and has its own matching change purse. There is one zippered compartment which is lined in a white vinyl (meant to put some cosmetics in, so you could easily wipe away, make-up or powder or a lipstick smear.
Measurements are 12 inches wide x 10 1/2 inches high x4 1/2 inches deep. When opened it measures 7 inches in depth. It has it's four brass feet and the strap is in very good condition.
There are are a couple of small dimpled areas to the leather on the back, nothing serious, overall in very good condition with a clean interior.
A lovely handbag to add to your classic purse collection!
