This is a wonderful vintage dress dating to the 1960s. It was designed by a couturier, Jirina Kubankova, and although I haven’t been able to discover anything about this maker, I suspect that she may have been Montreal based. The dress is made of a metallic woven brocade fabric trimmed with silver vinyl, very striking. It is made in a wrap style and does up with a single snap at the waist and also with a matching belt. It has a kimono neckline, and is cut in a slight A line to an above the knee length. It is fully lined in maroon and lilac colored silk-like fabric.
This should fit a medium size, but please note the following measurements for fit, taking the style of the piece into account:
Shoulders: 16” / Sleeves: 22” / Bust: 36” / Waist: 29” / Hips: 38” / Length: 34”
Condition: This piece is in very good condition with no wear, tear or staining. The dress has not been dry cleaned, but is acceptable to wear as is.
This dress features quality fabric and a simple to wear style...lovely dress that is sure to be noticed....
