This is a vintage piece of needle lace that I believe is called “Teneriffe”, but also resembles “Spider Web” lace. The piece is labeled in two places with an old cloth label that is stamped “Mexico” - I’m unsure of the exact age, but I would think that this dates to the 1950s or earlier. I’ve posed the piece as a head scarf, but it probably could be worn around the shoulders or in some other way. It measures 58” across by 23” high. It is in very good condition - there may be the odd break, but nothing pronounced or noticeable.
