This is a vintage 60s black satin fringed dress with matching jacket. The fabric is woven with colored motifs consisting of swallow birds and flowers in the Oriental or Chinese style, somewhat Suzy Wong in style. These fringed dresses were popular during the 1950s and 60s for dancing the mambo or cha-cha. The dress is made in a sleeveless shift style with accented waist. It does up the back with a nylon zipper and has five horizontal rows of fringe applied to it, front and back. The skirt is lined but the bodice is not lined. The jacket is made in a short style with four metal buttons at the front. No Label.

Shoulders: 15 1/2” across from shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeve Inseam: 15 3/4” long
Bust: 37” around, taken under the arms
Length: 16 1/2”
Bust: 35” around, taken under the arms
Hips: 36”-37” around
Overall length: 36 1/2”
The dress and jacket are both in very good condition with no wear, tear, stains or odors. It looks like this dress was very well cared for and stored over the years.
