A marvelous porcelain candlestick of a "Putto" or young boy, produced by Schaubach Kunst circa 1950's. The Wallendorf company was acquired by Heinz Schaubach in 1932, along with a majority share of Unter Weiss Bach porcelain. The Schaubach name was dropped and reverted back to Wallendorf following the 1953 nationalization. Porcelain production began in the municipality of Wallendorf, Thuringia in 1763 and operated under numerous restructurings, including its 1953 nationalization under the East German government, until 2008.

This beautiful Schaubach candlestick features an adorable young boy supporting a gold trim candlestick. Exquisitely executed and detailed, finished in bisque porcelain with glazed accenting, this Schaubach candlestick is in mint condition, free from chipping, cracking or repairs.

Marked at the base with Schaubach's crown mark used between 1953 and 1962, and incised shape #5021.

H 7.75", W 3.75", L 4.75".
