The Zanesville Stoneware Co., Ohio's longest-lived pottery concern, produced a vast range of commercial, utilitarian, and industrial artware during its 115 years of production, and is today poised to become one of the next sought-after manufacturers of arts & crafts ware.
This sturdy and uncluttered wall vase #49 - a desirable and hard to find form produced circa 1920 - features a clean arts & crafts silhouette enhanced with a subtly ribbed body and covered in a good green matte glaze. Display stand not included.
EXCELLENT CONDITION – very clean and appears unused, with very minor glaze chipping at the edge of the hanging hole, otherwise free from chipping, cracking, or restoration, with crazing visible under magnification and production related mold and glaze anomalies typical of this manufacturer. ***PLEASE NOTE*** There are two wall pockets available. The second piece is in excellent condition, with slightly more distinct mold work and a glaze pop/miss below the exterior rim (see last pic – additional pics available). Display stand not included.
