When Kenneth Haley, who, with his father Reuben, had created Consolidated's Martele' line of art glass in 1926, left Consolidated for the Phoenix Glass Company in 1928 he took with him 45 of the Consolidated Martele' molds, which were to become Phoenix's "Reuben Line", and the basis for their "Sculptured Artware" line of art glass. This expanded line of glass was in production by 1934, and featured new pieces and finishes.
This lovely Phoenix Sculptured Artware "Figured" vase features a scrolling floral-like design, with a beautiful aqua blue wash over satin crystal glass. It is in excellent condition, free from chipping or cracking, with very minor color loss and imperceptible roughness at the rim.
Unmarked, but guaranteed to be original, vintage Phoenix Sculptured Artware circa 1938.
