A rare vintage 1940’s Cultured Mabe Pearl Bracelet by jewelry designer Joseph Mazer. The Mabe Pearl, also known as the blister pearl gets its name from the type of mollusk in which it is grown, the Pteria penguin, which is called “mabe-gai” in Japanese.
Six Mabe Pearls measuring 14-1/2 mm each are set inbetween white baguette-style (bezel set) rhinestones and mounted entirely on heavy Sterling Silver. The bracelet fits nicely around the wrist and doesn’t flip over. The lovely rhinestone clasp is a secure snap shut. This awesome and very rare Mazer Bros. 1940’s Retro Bracelet is a classic 7-3/4” long.
