This untinted shoulder head was made by the German firm Alt, Beck & Gottschalck in the mid 1800's. Her blonde hair is pulled back exposing the ears and held with a black headband. The hair has molded comb marks and soft curls. This shoulder head doll has no chips, cracks or repair. Her eyes are blue with a slightly smiling mouth give this little girl a sweet pleasant expression. The parian limbs are also original. Her left fore arm has a firing line and her boots are flat. I am uncertain about the age of the body.
The clothing is hand and machine stitched. The cotton matching under wear has hook and eye closures. The dress is of antique lace and fabric. It snaps in the back.
The little line at her left temple washed off.
An amazing seamtress loved this pretty little 11.5'' girl and made her very special !
