This sweet cabinet sized doll is in her original gauze cotton chemise and would be fun to take to convention in July to dress. She has her original plaster pate, chemise and possible Blond mohair wig...thinned hairs. Her eyes sleep fine, had them professionally re set...fell out of setting in head. Her marked body is adorable, chunky and detailed like most Kestner bodies are. The quality in the bisque and composition is evident. Her head has that square jaw line attracted by kestner collectors...she is also a bit pouty with her lips. I added; cotton socks, vintage shoes, and bonnet to help keep plaster pate and wig on head. She also comes with antique cotton bloomers.
Her bisque is clean and nicely painted; one tiny rub on one eye brow, open mouth with four teeth. One dark line( very faint and does not lite up in head) on forehead and one tiny scratch near eye( maybe a knife mark from when eyes were cut into wet plaster). Beth and I note all defects whether they are minor or not. We believe in being truthful to our customers. Composition body is wonderful two tiny chips on neck socket on torsos...fingers are all there as are toes, wear and tear due to play on body, very minor. Ready to be dressed!
