These stunning Art Deco earrings for pierced ears are made of sterling silver with marcasites, enamel and paste stones.
The earrings are 11/16" (1.7cms) long by 7/16" (1.1cms) across. They weigh 4.1grams.
These delicate earrings have an emerald cut, faceted paste at the centre. The colour is an intense ruby red and it has been difficult to capture the true beauty of these stones in my photos. The stones are framed with silver mounted marcasites and at each side there is a slim crescent of black enamel.
At the top there is a tiny ring to which is attached a little silver ball and an ear wire.
On the reverse you will note that the stones are open backed to fully reflect the light. The silver is marked `sterling'.
These beautiful earrings retain their natural patina. They are in great condition apart from a dent in one of the tiny balls. They are so small that it is not noticeable to the naked eye. These beautiful earrings from the 1920's will arrive in a gift box.
