This beautiful single sterling silver napkin rings bear full English hallmarks for the year 1906. It comes in its own fitted box .
It measures 1 and 5/8” (4.1cms) across the interior space and 15/16” (2.4cms) wide. It weighs 22.5 grams.
It has a raised decorative edge with pretty leaf engravings. The centre of the ring is engraved with delicate scrolls . There is a blank cartouche for a monogram.
It bears the English hallmarks – 'J.R' for John Rose , the anchor for the Birmingham assay office, the lion passant for sterling silver and finally the date letter ‘g’ for 1906.
It sits against dark blue velvet with a medium blue silk, ruched edge.. The lid is lined with padded, blue silk. The box closes firmly with its brass catch. It is leather covered with gold tooling around the domed top. The leather shows a few tiny signs of age as you might expect.
The napkin ring and the interior of the box is in pristine condition. It would make a perfect gift for a special occasion. It will arrive very carefully protected.
