This most beautiful, silver plated. letter opener is from the Art Nouveau period.

It measures 3 and 7/8” (9.8cms) long, including the top ring, by 5/8” (1.5cms) across the widest part. It weighs 6.4 grams.

The shape is a most aesthetically pleasing elongated eye shape. The top overlay has the most exquisite, typically Art Nouveau, raised design of carnations. The leaves are elongated and sinuous and the flowers are finely engraved.

At the top is a ring which carries the original silk cord. The reverse is plain with a defined edge.

In excellent antique condition, this lovely piece is sure to please. It will arrive in a gift box.
