This superb Scottish Victorian pin is in excellent antique condition . It will arrive in a gift box. This Victorian Celtic cross pin is made of sterling silver (tested) set with agates. It is of Scottish origin and their silver and agate Victorian jewellery was rarely marked. I am dating it to circa 1890.
The pin measures 1¼” (3.2cms) across and it weighs 5.7 grams.
The design is the traditional celtic cross and is pierced and exquisitely engraved. It is set with dark green and speckled red bloodstone on two sides. On the other side is red jasper.
On the back is an old style c clip and pin. It is smoothly finished with a few minute scratches on one edge where someone tested the silver.
In excellent antique condition, it will arrive in a gift box.
