This lovely, French silver bracelet dates to circa 1890-1900. It bears two boar’s head hallmarks for 800-900 silver quality. It bears a French hallmark which is unclear but the bracelet tests to 800-900 silver quality.

The bracelet measures 8” (20.5cms) long and is 5/8” (1.5cms) wide. It weighs 20.1 grams.

The front of the bracelet has a fine, woven network of sinuous, finely engraved snakeskin effect links. Along the centre is a run of shiny flat pyramids. On either side are trios of tiny flowers , faceted to catch the light. The construction of the bracelet makes it extremely supple.

The bracelet closes with a ring clasp. There is a hallmark on the joining ring.

The reverse is neatly finished.

The links have a wonderful look of old silver which contrasts beautifully with the shiny, plain bosses along the centre.
