This delightful, sterling silver (tested) Victorian token is double sided. On one side is Queen Victoria surrounded by her children. On the reverse is the Price and Princess of Wales – later Edward V11 and Queen Alexandra. They are surrounded by their aristocratic relations. Edward V11 came to the throne in 1901 so the medal was struck before then.
It measures ¾” (1.8cms) across and it weighs 3.4 grams.
Around Queen Victoria is the inscription ‘HM Queen Victoria Empress of India’. She is surrounded by raised roundels with her children’s heads and their names.
The reverse is similar with the heads of the Prince and Princess of Wales with the inscription ‘Their RH the Duke and Duchess of Wales’. The roundels surround them.
At the top is a ring and a bail for attaching.
In fine antique condition, it will arrive in a gift box.
