This delightful, late Art Deco French ring bears a tiny hallmark but tests as 800-900 silver quality , The central stone tests as a blue topaz. It is encircled with clear pastes. It arrived in a worn leather clad box which I don’t think is original.

The top of the marquise shaped ring measures 19mms by 10mms. The blue topaz is 12mms by 6mms. The ring weighs 4.5grams. It fits a US size 7 and a UK size N¼.

The blue topaz is set high , claw set and open backed for maximum reflection. The clear round spinels on the lower level have great sparkle. The stones are set on a pierced gallery.

On the back there is a double shank which joins at the back where there is the mark 'OX'.

The accompanying tan leather box has faint gold tooling. The cream velvet interior has some pink staining and the silk lining of the lids is in shreds. I will be happy to supply a new leatherette box if preferred . Just let me know.

This stunning ring cannot fail to impress. It is in fine, vintage condition .
