This most beautiful , French silver enamel pendant or charm dates to the Art Deco period. It features the Virgin Mary.

The pendant measures 1 and 1/8” (2.7cms), including the top ring, by ½” (1.3cms) across the base. It weighs 3.9 grams.

The front is styled as a stained glass window with attractive turquoise, decorative ‘panes’ at the top. Beneath this an exquisitely painted image of Mary. She is shown in profile with a dark blue veil, the folds of which are wonderfully executed.

At the top is a ring and a bail. The ring bears a slightly indistinct boar’s head hallmark for 800-900 silver quality.

This exquisite and very rare pendant is in fine condition with very slight signs of age but no enamel loss. It will arrive in a gift box.
