This delightful English caddy spoon bears full sterling silver hallmarks for the year 1921.
It measures 2 and 7/16” (6.3cms) long and 1½” (3.8cms) across the bowl. It weighs 13.4 grams.
The curved handle is delicately engraved in the style of the earlier Edwardian period . The bowl is a beautiful scallop shell.
On the back of the handle are the hallmarks – the crown for the Sheffield assay office, the lion passant for sterling silver and the date letter ‘d’ for 1921. Also present is the mark of the silversmith -William Hutton and Sons Ltd.
This charming, almost antique, caddy spoon is in fine vintage condition and will arrive in a gift box.
