This attractive, French bangle is hallmarked for 800-900 silver quality and dates to 1880-1900.
It measures 2 and 5/16” (6ms) across the interior space. It fits my 7” wrist with room to spare. It is 11/16” (1.7cms) wide and weighs 16.7 grams.
The bangle has four plain silver bands and between them a delicately perforated criss cross pattern. It closes with a push in clasp which functions well. There is also a safety chain.
The interior of the clasp is marked with two boar’s head hallmarks for 800-900 silver quality together with a diamond shaped maker’s mark.
I have left the bangle as I found it and have just given it a light polish . It is in fine antique condition and will arrive in a gift box.
