This really delightful, silver and natural amethyst necklace dates to circa 1910-1920. The necklace is unmarked but tests to 800-900 silver quality. It is, therefore, of European origin.
The silver snake chain measures 16½” (42”) long. It closes with a tubular push in clasp, engraved and angular, very much of the period.
Inserted along the chain are ten, shining, violet amethyst drops. They are faceted and open backed. Each one has a loop at the top attached to a tiny ring. They are fixed in place. Their total length is 20mms and they measure 10mms across.
This unusual and very lovely necklace is in fine condition and will arrive in a gift box.
