This very pretty silver gilt and jade pendant was made in China in the early 20th century, circa the 1920’s. I have tested it to sterling silver quality. It measures 1¾” (4.5cms) long, including the bail, by 7/8” (2.3cms) across the widest part. It weighs 6.3 grams.
It takes the form of a bunch of grapes. At the top is a delicate bail topped with a filigree flower. It is attached by a tiny ring to three delicate, filigree leaves. The pale green jade ‘grapes’ are each topped with a tiny silver ball.
On the reverse you will see the bail to hold a chain, The back is pierced with fine scrolling. The top is marked ‘China’ and if you turn it round you will see a maker’s mark ‘S.C.LI’.
This delightful pendant is in excellent vintage condition. It will arrive in a gift box.
