This very pretty, French crown pin dates to the Art Deco period. It is hallmarked for 800-900 silver with marcasites. It was most certainly worn to show sympathy with the royalist cause.
It measures 1” (2.5cms) by ¾” (1.8cms). It weighs 3.4 grams.
The gently curved crown is studded with sparkling marcasites.There is a cross at the top.
On the back is a typically French trombone clasp. The smoothly finished silver carries the boar’s head hallmark for 800-900 silver quality.
