Gorgeous 1930s Translucent Root Beer/Claret RED Carved Bakelite Rope Style Bangle Bracelet Chunky walled 1" wide rope carved bange has sections that are a lobe of smoothness alternating with a very narrow repeating banding of detailed carved ornate shagreen type work. Thus, the top table surface of the bracelet undulates, as is evident in greater and lesser eves of transparency of this gorgeously colored material. So light filed and magical. Describing the color is almost impossible---a deep rusty color: a synthesis of claret red and a rusty root beer/cherry cola color! The shagreen art deco carving adds a layer of detail, augmenting the beauty of this wondrous bracelet. 2.5" standard inner diameter. Excellent vintage condition.
