1930s Resin Washed Bakelite Martha Sleeper Tahitian Spear bearer Pin Brooch. Paint work is very much in the Sleeper school of painting style- (seen on manty other Sleeper pins as well. Wooden spear is held by handsome muscular South Pacific Tahitian man. 2.75" tall. Cream base with smoky resin washed areas, most visible as smoky haze on rear view of brooch. Pin back is original and functions perfectly. Great active pose! Less sweet than many Sleeper pins but just as appealing! Excellent vintage condition.
