In the 1960s Chanel commissioned the Venetian glass artist, Archimede Seguso to make a range of hand made glass Chanel jewelry to accompany her couture line. The result was a collection of outstanding wearable works of glass art. The collection included earrings and necklaces of the most beautiful colors; some with crystal and rhinestone embellishment alongside the iconic oval glass links. Chanel was not only famous fashion designer to collaborate with Archimede Seguso who considered himself a couturier and a DESIGNER of glass.
