1960s Robert Larin Canadian Modernist Brutalist Nickel Silver Pewter Lynch Pin Style cuff Bracelet. Working in Montreal in the late 60s and 70s, these two men (Robert Larin and his partner Guy Vidal) were pioneers in Brutalist designs working in low grade silver (pewter). Designs were very organic as well as space age, but not streamlined and sleek, rather figured and detailed with organically designed pods, antennae, screen work and and matte finishes combined with glossy areas to make the patterning really pop. This bracelet has 2 semi circular half circles with a lynch pin and safety chain clasp. Approximately 1." wide with an inner diameter of a 2.6" inches approximately, so it is standard size. It is in Excellent vintage condition. This example has a Larin hallmark. Very modernist brutalist design with a space age science fiction style!
