1940s Miriam Haskell Multicolor Intricate Seed Bead Swirled Circular Pin Brooch Dress Clip. like many WWII era Haskell pieces, it is Unsigned. The extraordinary workmanship, however, is unmistakable, and the use of these tiny wooden Czech beads swirled like a geometric pinwheel, articulated and in slight motion is definitively Haskell-esque in style. All sewn with thread and attached to a plastic swiss cheese back- the brooch has original dress clip spring loaded hardware, but all dress clips can be worn as standard brooches by attaching a safety pin to one's garment, and then inserting the dress clip into the safety pin. Voila! One now has a brooch wearable in the center of any garment. Approximately 2.2 inches in circular diameter, it is in excellent vintage condition. The beads almost look like tiny cigarettes! A center white bead holds the whole design together.
