1940s Miriam Haskell Multicolor Glass Bead Wood Cube Czech Inspired Dress Clip Brooch Pin. Classic Unsigned 40s Haskell workmanship and materials. Seed beads and other size glass brightly colored glass beads all wired and strung and attached to a swiss cheese dress clip back with a functioning spring loaded clip back. All clips can be used as standard brooches and pin by attaching a safety pin to your garment and clipping the dress clip INTO the safety pin. Voila! Clip becomes pin! This clip uses yellow celluloid leaves as its top focal element, and then looped strands of glass beads and same colored Czech wooden cube beads-----recognizable from much Czech jewelry and interestingly enough, used frequently in early Haskell creations by head designer Frank Hess. Approximately 1.75" inches wide by almost 3.25 inches long with tasseled fringed beads dangling and articulated elements providing a great sense of movement, and the brilliant color palette adds a layer of whimsy and humor to this lovely dress clip/brooch/pin. Excellent vintage condition.
