1960s William DeLillo Magnificent Faux Turquoise and Goldtone Flower Large Clip Earrings. Large (Over 1.25" in diameter) and dimensional, at .50" tall. Clip Earrings. The center stone is a gorgeous domed faux turquoise cabochon surrounded by tiny gray seed pearls. This aspect, the seed pearls, are reflective of DeLillo's connection to life partner Robert Clark-head designer for Miriam Haskell in the 1950s and 60s. Much of his work incorporates Haskell style pearl intricacy as part of their design. Molded faux turquoise glass petals are wired to the gold tone swiss cheese backing frequently used by Haskell, DeLillo and other makers, as are the circlet of goldtone flowers set above the glass flower petals. Paper label was attached but removed for photography, and comes with these earrings. Excellent vintage condition.
