1950s Llewelyn (attributed) Hardbody Acetate Tortoise Toned Plastic Purse. This purse is not lucite bur rather acetate- the other chief plastic variety used for plastic fashion handbags in the 1950s. This has a striped tortoise toned stain over the acetate for a degree of inner glow and translucence. Its 7 inches wide x 4 inches high and the handle made of the same acetate adds an additional 4 inches in overall height. Flat on the bad for body comfort against the physique, yet organically rounded in front for a curved appeal. Approximately 4 inches thick. Not signed but attributable. Very good vintage condition with some minor wear but so tailored and wearable!
