This RENOIR of California Mid century Modern Three Strand Copper Necklace is an unusual loose bead constructed necklace more like glass or bead necklaces of the era. This company known for tailored geometric and floral copper jewelry from 1945-1960 uses wonderful material and employs great techniques of design and manufacture to achieve artisan looking jewelry from the mid Twentieth century which employs a combination of hand and machine assembly. This three strand necklace is constructed of beads both circular and rectangular in shape that appear quite machine like ball bearings and machine elements for a sleek industrial and modern result and look. Three strands are inter connected at the ends, and have extender chains to allow for multi sized necks to wear them, as well as provide alternate length options for the wearer. Coated with COPRON lacquer finish, these necklaces and jewels never tarnish and never require polishing. The necklace is approximately 10 inches in length with 10 additional inches of extender chain for the shortest strand, and almost 2 inches longer for the longest strand of the 3. Signed on the hook Renoir. EXCELLENT Vintage condition.
