This French map of Paris appears to be a late 1800s reproduction of a famous 1630 Melchior Tavernier map. The piece was hand colored. Buildings are done in a peach color. Waterways in blue. Churches are red. Nice emblems of the various trades, nobles and royalty in France along the top and two emblems on the bottom corners. Also the name D. Dejueaux along the left bottom. On older ribbed paper, not a dot matrix rendering or giclee.
The map is entitled "Le Plan de la Ville Cité Université Faubourgs de Paris avec la Description des Antiquetites". The map is framed in a slender wood frame and is in good condition with no visible defects. We did not examine the map outside of the frame.
Measurements are: frame 26" by 19 3/4", actual map is 21 3/4" by 16 1/2".
