This L.V. Aronson Art Deco set is just perfect for a desk or secretary. The set consists of an inkwell, pen tray, letter opener blotter and stamp box. They are all in the same pattern of dark red cast metal. The inkwell has a glass insert and all pieces are intact and in good condition. The letter opener has some loss of color to the tip from use. No other defects. All pieces are marked with the L.V. Aronson name and the 1924 date.
Louis Vincent Aronson was an American inventor, industrialist and philanthropist who is best remembered as the inventor of Ronson lighters. "He was a son of Simon and Jennie Aronson, who were natives of Prussia. He was born December 25, 1869, in New York City, and there his boyhood was spent. He opened the Art Metal Works later where he created many metal products using his special plating technology.
