This lovely little French carriage clock is perfect as a display piece or to use as an alarm. It has just been serviced by our clock maker and keeps very good time. The dual dial is very pretty with small colored garlands looping from hour to hour. The top and bottom of the case have a detailed floral fret work to enhance the case. The clock was made in Paris by Comptoir General, H. Riondet on the Boulevard des Poisonnerre. This was a fashionable clock maker in the end of the 19th century. The clock has had a life and is showing a few signs: there is a small chip in the corner of the glass on the back door and the dial has a hairline across the top.
Measurements are: 3” by 2 ½” and 5” tall, not including the handle.
