This set of twelve silver plate Sheffield spoons and sugar tongs is a perfect companion to a tea service. With teas and especially loose teas becoming more and more popular, these sets again have come into use. The teaspoons are each marked JS *S, which means John Sanderson of Sheffield (1887 - 1935). The set is housed in a dark blue leatherette box with purple velvet lining. The set looks little used but the box clearly has been shuffled around and shows wear on all corners. It is otherwise sound.
Measurements are: spoons 5” each, tong is 4 1/8” long.
