This beautiful antique French serving spoon is still in its original box. It is made of sterling silver with the Minerva mark as evidence of its silver content and the business part is gold plated silver, also called vermeil. The gold part is marked with the makers mark E C with a reed mat in between the letters. This stands for Edouard Clerc of Paris and dates it to 1886 or later. The silver handle has scrolls and a musical design. The box is covered in green leatherette with gold markings and a closure.
Measurements are: 8 7/8” by 3 ½”. Weight is 2.2 oz.
