This is a traditional French silverplate flatware wedding set. It was always given without the knives as they are seen as something that is sharp and can cut the tie of the marriage bond. The knives were traditionally bought as a separate set by the bride. This set was made by the French silversmith S. Abramovitz and dates to 1904. The pieces are all used but in very good condition. The spoons are the traditional French soup spoons: they are large.
Condition is very good, some used marks but no plate loss.
Measurements are: spoons 8 1/4" long and forks 8 1/8" long.
