Dating to the mid-century, this purple glass set has survived remarkably well. The arrangement consists of a purple bowl with pointed rim, six clusters of glass grapes (3 light purple and 3 dark purple) and an apple and a pear. The grapes and apple and pear are also in very good condition with as only flaw one loose grape. The bowl is clearly hand blown with a large pontil mark on the base of the bowl. The grapes are also all hand blown and mounted with wire to a stem. This center piece begs for a light arrangement, so in the last photo I have added a set of battery powered mini lights to illustrate.
Measurements are: bowl 10” diameter and 5” tall to the top lobe, grape clusters are about 10” long each. Fruit is 3” diameter each. Condition is very good, no chips or cracks.
