What immediately stands out with this sculpture is the patina. The head is carved out of a single piece of very dense wood with great detail and expression. The back and part of the top are unfinished as it is meant to be hung on a wall or was mounted on a larger piece. The condition is very good with no breaks or missing pieces. There are some very old worm holes, long since treated, no other defects. This piece was found in France and came from an old building that was being rebuilt.
Measurements are: 9” x 7 ½” x 4 ½”.
