A renowned bronzier, sculptor and founder, Albert Marionnet (1852 – 1910) had his business in Paris, where he furnished all the luxury boutiques of the second Empire and the Third Republic. His works are found in the collections of the Musee D’Orsay. This pen tray has the artist’s signature and also on the back the mark by the foundry that he headed in Paris. This tray has been used and shows wear on the bronze patina as shown. The eagle is crisp as are the branches and oak leaves that the eagle is holding.
Measurements are: 12” by 3” and 1 ½” tall.
