This fabulous engraving is done after a painting by Valient. It is called "The Flapping Lark and The Sirli, or African Lark. Marked at the top with Alauda, and at the bottom it says Valient del, also London, Published as the Act directs, March 12, 1807 by J. Wilkes. The engraving is hand colored and has great appeal. It is matted in a new acid free coffee colored mat. The print itself has been folded in the past and the lines are still visible. Otherwise the print is in very good condition, with only very slight toning and no foxing.

Measurements are: sight size 10" by 8", overall mat is 14" by 11".
