This platter is an outstanding example of early Waechtersbach ceramic ware. The blue flowers are quite unusual for this manufacturer. The platter is dated Dec 24, 08, which will be 1908. It is in very good shape, with just some age related crazing on the bottom and some wear to the glazing around part of the rim. It is very decorative and a good example of early German ceramic art. This platter by the way would fit very well with the more traditional red ceramics from this maker. Measurements is 12 ¾" diameter and 1" high at the rim.
