This elegant set is made of 800/1000 silver as shown by the mark on the handle with the face and helmet. The serving part is covered in a gold wash. There is also a cartouche with E P and a symbol between the 2 letters, which are the initials of the silversmith. The cartouche is on both the handle and the bowl of each piece. The set dates from the mid 1800's and still is in its original box. The box has damage to the top (it is made of wood), but it has protected the serving set it contains. Both the handle and the bowl have a scallop design.
