This inkwell is very unique. It consists of a reticulated outer shell with a solid white porcelain well inside. The metal top is loose, and fits the top exactly. It has a hinged lid and two brush/pen holders. The lid may have had a larger top to pull it up. The lid is also decorated with small cross hair decorations. The piece is unmarked. Condition is good, except that the top is loose. There is evidence that someone may have tried to glue it on, but it has not held. It is a very decorative piece and definitely a worthy addition to an inkwell/brush pot collection. It is sure to spark some conversations!
