Here is a mid 19th Century PA carved wood butter stamp with thick wood face, bulbous turned wood handle and untouched aged surface. The stamp is 3 & 7/8" across and 3.25" high. It has a stylized flower and leaf carved pattern covering the face surface with a border of 3 concentric carved rings. It is a little earlier than the similar one just listed but appears to be by the same hand. it has a fine age split and some scratches to the print surface. Found in Southern NJ but most likely made in neighboring PA. THis listing is just for one butter stamp. The other is in a separate listing.
