Here are three hand stitched 19th Century pieces of doll sleep wear made of soft brushed cotton and trimmed with tucks. One of the night shirts is made of Champagne colored flannel with tucks in front and back of the yoke. The night shirt opens down the front and fastens with 2 shell buttons and hand done button holes. It is 12" long, 5.25" shoulder to shoulder, 4.5" around the arm pit, 3.5" long sleeves, 2.5" around the wrists. . There is a fray at the left wrist band. Other wise th garment is sturdy and in good condition. The 2nd night shirt is made of a more uncommon brushed cotton flannel that has lovely rose stripe on cream ground. This one also opens down the front and closes with 2 buttons and button holes. it has a round collar edged with cotton lace. It is 11" long, 4"shoulder to shoulder, 5" around the arm pits, 5" sleeve length and 3" around the wrists. It is very dainty and would work well in a doll trunk. The 3rd garment is a sleeveless gown with tucked bodice, lower neckline and feather stitching on the bodice, arm openings and hem. It opens down the back and fastens with a button and loop at the back neck. it is 13" long3" shoulder to shoulder and 4" around the arm holes. It is a dainty little winter under garment or night gown for a smaller antique doll.
