Here are 2 old pair of steel or pewter frame circa 1850 spectacles. One has thin gunmetal finished frame and light gray tinted lenses without magnification. Nose piece is arched, ear pieces are slightly bowed with small loops on the ends and lenses are oval. They are 4.25 across the frames, 1" across the nose piece and about 4.5".The specs are in good condition as shown. The other pair are similar but appear to be a bit older. They have an upside down U nose piece thin bowed ear pieces with filled in loop ends. They have some magnification and seem to be reading glasses. They are 4.5" across, 1" nose piece and 5.5" slightly bowed ear pieces. They are in good condition as shown. They came in a hard pressed paper case with gold leaf logo and name. Case reads A.C. Freeman // Opticians // 376 Main ST // Worcester.
