Here is a 16" Kammer Reinhardt Marie 101 Character doll circa 1910 in her original Regional / Ethnic costume, shoes socks and original light golden brown hair wig with original pate. She has nice, bisque, modeling and painting. She has pale blue painted eyes, heavy black lid liner, molded lids, short slanted tan brows, beautiful closed painted mouth and rosy blushed cheeks.. She is incised "K*R // 101 //39" on back of her head. I note wig pulls mostly on the right side and a tiny paint miss on the left cheek. She is on her original K*R fully jointed wood and composition body with original finish. I note that the finish crazed and flaking on her thighs. There is a patch of finish loss on back of her right upper arm, loss around the joints, balls and neck area. Her left index finger has a glued repair and tip of the left pinkie is missing. The rest of finish is good original finish and with nice paint details. Her stringing is firm. She retains her original wig with center part , short bangs and coiled braids. The braids are a bit untidy and may have been redone over the years. She still has her original card board pate. She wears her original beaded regional layered costume with plain linen under garments, white cotton blouse trimmed with eyelet, wool over dress with black skirt and red bodice trimmed with beads, matching beaded red wool cap, white eyelet trimmed cotton apron, lacy net stockings and ivory oil cloth tie shoes with little heels. She is an attractive example of the 101 Marie model in a nice cabinet size.
